RK Mellon Grant

Murrysville Area Watershed Association (MAWA) recently submitted a $70,000

grant request to the RK Mellon Foundation to purchase stream monitoring

equipment for our Watershed Stewardship Program. This grant will support

MAWA’s goal of engaging community members in water quality data collection.

The subsequent data will be used to identify priority areas for watershed

restoration and conservation. Through monthly data collection and development

of an annual Water Quality Report Card, MAWA also endeavors to expand the

reach and impact of our Watershed Stewardship Program to provide watershed

education throughout the local community.
